Established in 1993, Hyundai Capital is South Korea’s No. 1 provider of consumer financial products, including auto financing, auto leasing services, personal loans, and home mortgages. The company is a financial service unit of Hyundai Motor Group. Hyundai Capital has expanded to overseas markets â€" including the U.S., Canada, China, Europe, Russia, and Brazil â€" to provide auto financing support for Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors.

1993.12 Founded Hyundai Auto Finance Co., Ltd.

1995.04 Changed company name to Hyundai Financial Services Co., Ltd.

1999.01 Changed company name to Hyundai Capital Services. Inc.

2001.07 Started auto-lease business

2004.10 Hyundai Capital-GE Capital formed a joint venture

2005.01 Established professional volleyball team ‘Cheonan Hyundai Skywalkers’

2008.10 Acquired international standard ‘ISO 27001’ certification in information security management system

2009.09 Established Hyundai Capital Germany (HCG)

2010.05 Established Hyundai Capital Europe (HCE)

2014.01 Hyundai Capital UK became the first Korean finance company to issue ABS

2014.04 Established Hyundai Capital Canada (HCCA)

2015.01 S&P raised credit rating to A-

2015.03 HCA signed a partnership agreement with CCCS-OS(CSR organizations in U.S.)
